Around 2011 and 2012, I wanted to pursue my PhD in the area of Climate Change and Finance. At that time, I was pursuing Masters in Finance after obtaining a Gold Medal in Finance (GPA of 4.5/4.5). As an international student, I was targeting PhD scholarships. I had identified two potential supervisors from two different Universities with whom I had discussed my research proposal in Climate Change. One of the potential supervisors was extremely pleased with my proposal and expressed that my idea is impressive and would make an impact. Subsequently, I was being considered for PhD scholarships in Finance at those Universities. Unfortunately, there was a delay in the release of my Masters thesis result that served as an important documentation to secure PhD Scholarship.
Later, due to the availability of research supervisors and availability of PhD scholarships, I pursued an Honours in Accounting from Monash University as a pathway to my PhD in Accounting.
My Honours studies marks the beginning of my research journey in the area of Board Gender Diversity. I also received Monash Business School Award for achieving the Highest in my Honours program and First Class Honours with a GPA of 4.0/4.0.
Subsequently, I pursued a PhD in Accounting in the area of ability of Top Management Teams and Just-in-Time Inventory Management. For more information on this, please refer to my Blog on “Is it really the end of JIT inventory system? I think the Ability of Managers make a difference!”
My research papers are on the following topics: Valuing Knowledge, Ability, Talent, Board Gender Diversity, and addressing gender role stereotyping of female directors. For more information, please Click here!

I provide my well wishes to researchers and everyone involved in the climate change related projects as it is something that I initially planned to pursue and contribute towards.
Interesting journey, best wishes for you as well!
