Challenges and Dedication
My journey to receiving Monash Business School Award was full of challenges. I dedicated this award to my father, Mr Prakash Chandra. I had lost my father just before starting my Honours education and the pain/loss I felt cannot be expressed in words.
My father always empowered me since I was a little girl, and I had a beautiful last conversation with him without knowing it was a final goodbye.
I always worked hard to make my parents, Mr Prakash Chandra (aka Beleman) and Ms Prakash Wati, proud. I come from a farming background in Fiji and seeing my parents sacrifices to foster our education was inspiring! My husband Dr Dharmendra Naidu has been very supportive. I still remember us collecting funds to finance my Honours education and my father suddenly passed away.
Acknowledgements
I thank God, my father for empowering me that I cherish to date, my parents for their upbringing, my husband for being so supportive and myself for staying strong. I appreciate my learnings at Monash University.
